The iTechStyle Summit 2019 - 3rd International Conference of Textile and Clothing, organized by CITEVE – Technological Centre for the Textile and Clothing Industry of Portugal in collaboration with Associação Selectiva Moda, is expected to bring together industry innovators, technology providers, researchers, clusters and other actors from the textile and clothing sector from across Europe. An event full of opportunities to explore, learn, share, and of course network.

The iTechStyle Summit aims to provide a platform to globalize the research by installing a dialogue between industries and academic organizations.

Addressed by leading voices from the industry and academy who will give their expert insights on the latest trends, strategies, opportunities and challenges, the conference will embrace the areas of industry 4.0, digitization and dematerialization of textile and clothing prototypes, new advanced fibres and materials, new technical and smart structures, and sustainability and circular economy.

 

LANGUAGE: the conference´s official languages are portuguese and english. There will be translation facilities available for the conference participants.

He holds a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering & Management and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Linköping university in Sweden. Eric has extensive experience in brand building, business development, marketing and product management from various roles in Procter & Gamble, PepsiCo, and Thule Group. He joined Baldwin Technology in March 2019.

With an academic background in Textile Engineering from KMF Budapest - Hungary, Miklos Nagy developed a solid professional carreer in Textile Industry mainly in Brasil and Portugal, currently exercizing his activity as Production Manager of Valerius 360º. Using his deep knowledge in Industrial Production Management, modern technology, programming, production control, maintenance and product quality, he's leading the global coordination of this circular economy project from process definition to product development and commercialization. During his professional carreer of more than 25 years, led several projects related to building and modernization of industrial facilities, leveraging its positive results. Experienced and actively involved in Lean-Manufacturing processes and implementation of integrated production management system ERP-SAP-R3 ( PP,MM and QM modules) as a key-user. International experience in Germany, Belgium, Italy and France regarding investment plans' execution and know-how exchange.

Associate Dean Teaching, Learning and Enhancement - London College of Fashion
Nick Almond is the Associate Dean Teaching, Learning and Enhancement at LCF. He has a background in the sciences, completing a PhD in Biophysics at Liverpool University in 2008. Since leaving research science he has lectured in astrophysics, mathematics and education spending over ten years researching how people learn, specialising in how to use technology to support learning and innovation. His research focuses on emerging technology, complexity theory and curriculum, with a keen interest in how blockchain technology can help us organise and collaborate at scale. He is the Better Lives unit leader and is responsible for its curriculum design and student experience.

An INSEAD MBA graduate, Danièle started her career being market intelligence at Rothmans International, then marketing director of a division of Chargeurs Textiles. She then went on to set up and run IFM’s Market Research and Consulting Department. Her range of expertise covers consumer behaviour, strategic marketing and competitiveness policies. She is also General Secretary of the R3ilab (Réseau d’Innovation Immatérielle pour l’Industrie). She regularly carries out strategic studies for businesses and for the European Commission.

Lars Montelius is the Director–General of the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory since the 1st September 2014. Professor in Nanotechnology at Lund University, Sweden, Lars Montelius is the founder of several Swedish companies working with nanotechnology. Lars Montelius is also the President of the IUVSTA: The International Union for Vacuum Science, Technique and Applications www.iuvsta-us.org with more than 150 000 members from 32 countries, member of the EC Executive High Level Group (HLG) at DG NMPB, and board member and Working Group Chair of the two European Technology Platforms NANOFutures: The European initiative for sustainable development by Nanotechnologies www.nanofutures.eu and EuMat: The European Technology Platform for Advanced Engineering Materials and Technologies: eumat.eu. Between 2003 and 2009, Lars Montelius was Dean of the Physics Department, Science and Engineering Faculties at Lund University and between 2009 and 2011, he was director for Øresund University & Øresund Science Region, a cross-border cooperation between eleven universities and three regional authorities of two countries in the Øresund Region. Lars Montelius was also Chair of the Swedish Technical Standardization Committee on Nanotechnology from 2007 to 2014. Prof, Dr, Dr h c Lars Montelius, with H-index 34: 298 publications, 4.091 citations, last 5 years ≈250 citations/year. Data from ISI Web of Knowledge 2016-06-19. More than 70 personally invited talks. 24 patent applications.
