The ending of a Scream movie is always the best part. Its what youve been waiting for: the reveal of whos behind that now iconic mask and why theyre targeting the teenagers of Woodsboro. Scream VI, however, bucks that trend. It has an excellent ending to be sure dont worry, we wont even come close to spoiling it but what really stands out is that the rest of the movie is almost as good, if not better. There are at least four set pieces in the film that rival the ending in terms of scares and surprises, resulting in a much more balanced movie than were used to seeing from the franchise. Scream VI comes from the same team who brought us last years Scream V, which includes writers Guy Busick and Jamie Vanderbilt and directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, so it has a lot of what made that film good going for it. A study out this week suggests that semaglutide鈥攖he active ingredient in popular obesity drug Wegovy鈥攎ight be able to help people struggling with alcohol use disorder, too. In a small sample of cases, researchers found evidence that people who took semaglutide for weight loss also experienced a significant reduction in alcohol dependence symptoms. The team and other s stanley termosmugg cientists have begun to conduct clinical trials to further explore this link. Semaglutide is a synthetic and longer-lasting version of glucagon-like peptide 1 GLP-1 , a hormone that helps regulate our insulin production and appetite, among other things. Developed by Novo Nordisk, it was first approved to manage type 2 diabetes in 2017 under the brand name Ozempic and later approved as the higher-dose formulation Wegovy in 2021 for obesity. Newer GLP-1s like semaglutide and similar drugs have proven to be much more effective at helping people lose weight than diet and exercise alone or past obesity medications in clinical trials of Wegovy, people have lost around 15% of their baseline weight . Her involvement in the influential intellectual circle known as the Bloomsbury Group brought her attention, and her 1929 essay A Room of Ones Own did the same for her feminist ideas. In her death, interest in the woman behind the books continued. After a lifelong struggle with her mental health, including periods of severe depression and suicide attempts, Woolf died in 1941 by drowning herself near her house in Sussex, England, at the age of 59. As TIME noted in her obituary, she left behind a body of work that was complex and lyrical. To some readers [her books] didnt always make sense, the piece noted, but they made her name and parts of them almost made music. To biographer Gillian Gill, its important to note another part of the Virginia Woolf story: her experience of sexual abuse during her childhood and as a young woman. In Gills recent book Virginia Woolf and the Women Who Shaped Her World, she highlights Woolfs identity not only as a literary titan and a woman shaped by her female relationships, but also as a survivor o

NASA says its Earth Radiation Budget Satellite ERBS made its reentry at 11:04 p.m. ET on Sunday, January 8, with Space Forces Space Track confirming a reentry near the Aleutian Islands, as reported in SpaceNews. The 5,400-pound research satellite had spent the last 38 years in low Earth orbit, having been delivered to space on October 5, 1984 by the Space Shuttle Challenger. The ERBS mission was only supposed to last for two years, but it eked ou stanley mugs t a 21-year career, having been retired in 2005. While it was in operation, ERBS gathered data on Earths energy budget, that is, the balance between the amount of solar energy that our planet receives and the amount it radiates back to space. Three instruments aboard the spacecraft were used to measure stratospheric concentrations of water vapor, ozone, nitrogen dioxide, and various aerosols. ERBS boosted our understanding of climate and ozone layer health, and it contributed directly to the adoption of the 1987 Montreal Protocol Agreement limiting the use of damaging chlorofluorocarbons CFS , according to NASA. NASA expected most of the satellite to burn up as it traveled through the atmosphere, but for some components to survive the reentry, as the space agency explained in its statement. Hormone repl stanley cup acement therapy once seemed like a good idea for many women, until the medical treatment was linked to an increased risk of breast cancer and cardiovascular disease.Thatrsquo one reason why, despite a lack of conclusive evidence, 40-50% of women in Western countries use complementary and plant-based therapies to help ease the symptoms of menopause. Now, a new review published in JAMA shows that some of these therapies may actually help.Researchers from Erasmus University Medical Center in the Netherlands and the University of Cambridge in the U.K. analyzed a ream of randomized clinical trialsmdash;62 in allmdash;that involved a total of 6,653 women. After a brief polling peak this summer, she had seen a return to low single-digit numbers, though she still regularly polled among the top five. Those poor numbers were compounded by a steady drum beat of negative press accounts of the internal workings of her campaign, with staffers accusing the campaign of having an unc air max lear structure and lack of clarity in its direction. Throughout her campaign, Harris publicly struggled with her stances on issues ranging from health care, where she initially said she supported getting rid of private insurance plans and then released a health care plan that left a large role for private insurers, to busing, which she successfully cornered former Vice President Joe Biden on from the debate sta

We re a bit surprised at just how unreflective the comet s surface is and how little evidence of exposed water-ice it shows, said Alan Stern, Alice principal investigator at the Southwest Research Institute in Boulder, Colorado. Alice is probing the origin, composition and workings of comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko, to gather sensitive, high-resolution insights that cannot be obtained by either ground-based or Earth-orbiting observation. It very rare to find that in a mining stock. After all, every gold, silver, or other mineral producer ends up with a product that is the exact same as its competition. There no way to for a company in the sector to differentiate itself.Producing a commodity has another major disadvantage. There nothing an individual produce stanley mugg r can do to raise its prices, and producers are therefore stuck accepting whatever market price happens to be. As we ;ve seen countless times before, this is a major disadvantage. All a producer can do during lean times is to cut costs.Despite this major disadvantage, I still see why investors would put cash to work in the mining sector. Commodities are a well-established way to hedge against inflation
