S J Downing 5.0 out of 5 stars It is thanks in part to this that I passed my MBLEx. Plus it was the only one that I could find that was so up-to-date (January 2015). Considering the broad range of subject matter the MBLEx covers, I decided to study with this book in combination with practice tests on the website www.massage-exam.com, both of which I can recommend. I began studying with www.massage-exam.com, but found that I was deficient in anatomy, physiology and kinesiology. This is probably because we did not have a good teacher at school. Her idea of teaching was to make us learn it ourselves, but I find an interactive and fun teaching style works better for me - with David's book I think I honestly learned more in less than a week than I did by doing my reading homework and watching videos in school, partly because David has such an interactive teaching style. Watching David's video lectures (listed at the front of the book) made me want to be one of his students. He explains things in a straightforward way that makes you want to learn. It helped cement the information in my brain whilst following along with the book and making notes.http://marupyara.com/fotos/userfiles/dakota-req-watch-manual.xml

I like that he sometimes gives you the layman's term for certain words (e.g. pharynx is throat, thorax is chest.). Of course, I knew some of these, but having somebody tell you that again helps you remember it more easily. And I found his mnemonics at the back of the book useful too. I always try to think up little ways to remember things (uLna goes to the Little finger, Tibia is on Top, Biceps is next to the Breast; the difference between muscular dystrophy and atrophy - d stands for deterioration and a stands for away as in gone away completely.) After three weeks of fairly intense study, initially with the above website and then with the book, I passed first time round. I did like the tests at the back of David's book, but found that when I tried to take the 100-question online practice tests on his website mentioned in the book, I could not get the results back properly (there was a technical error) and I also felt that the questions were not as varied as those I had seen on massage-exam.com and the actual test (don't forget that since 2014 they are focusing even more heavily on ethics, which is something that may be included in David's tests at the back of the book - I'm not sure - but there is a greater emphasis on this on the website I mentioned, which is one reason the two are great in combination). That said, David's book has so much to offer that this was no problem for me. With its crosswords, fill in the blanks, videos, quizzes at the back of the book and flash cards, it caters for various different learning styles. I loved the way David went through the main bones including origins and attachments and his overview of muscles is very useful. I must admit that I went over the muscles again at the last minute (the night before the test) by making a chart with muscle name, origin, insertion, innervation, synergist, antagonist - when I did this, it helped me to see connections between the muscles.http://www.alex-vasilkov.ru/images/wisdom/dakota-owners-manual-pdf.xml David's book made it super easy to do this as he goes through each of the main muscles you need to know and also includes a couple of pages listing their actions, which is another useful way of looking at them. As David comments, muscles are a big part of the test, so knowing these is definitely important and making the chart, as I suggested, so you have them all in one place, might help too. Last but not least, I emailed David with a couple of questions and he got back to me promptly and in depth, which confirmed to me that he truly cares about the students using his study guides. I find such personal service highly commendable and this is just another reason I would recommend this book. Good luck to everyone taking the MBLEx. It is definitely challenging, which is why I found using various sources to study from to be the best tactic, but if you apply yourself and look up things that you don't understand, I think that you will get there. It's important to memorize various questions, but I find it even more important to understand why the answers are what they are, and this is where David's book is also very helpful. Congratulations and thank you, David, on a job well done! When I decided to work as a massage therapist, I found out that I had to take a test. I ordered this book, not knowing what to expect, but to my surprise, it covered EVERYTHING that I learned the whole year in massage school. It was laid out so perfectly that I only had to study for about a month, and it all came back so easily. I passed the mblex the first time around, and I was so happy. I actually learned more from the book than I did in school. Being nervous over this test was so stressful, but the author was very helpful. He answered my questions by email, and was very encouraging. He also has videos that narrate his book, and goes into much detail about the subjects. I recommend this book to every massage therapy student, and practicing massage therapist.http://www.bosport.be/newsletter/boss-chromatic-tuner-tu-15-manual It's not only a great review program, its also an excellent reference book to have on your shelf. I'm so happy I got it, good luck everyone on your test.IT WILL WORK! Thanks to David and his Guide along with the practice exams, he pretty much narrows the room for any error in your studies!! Good luck to everyone who is taking the test, with David's Study Guide, you will knock it out the park!!:)))I was out of school 2 years ago and needed to brush up after moving to state where the MBLEX is now required. I was a little panicked, and expressed this to my mom and about two months before the exam look what popped up in my mailbox. She's so good to me. I studied this guide inside and out, and took about 9 exams that he made (link included in book) in order to study. I wish that I had this guide while I was in school, it would have been super helpful. The section for practice questions is especially nice because it really shows you what you need to brush up on, even if it is material not in the book the internet is at your fingers. Granted, there were definitely questions on the exam that were not in this book i.e. general protocol for certain situations, but overall it is an excellent study guide. There is not one book anywhere that will teach you everything you need to know to take the exam, the exam is fairly comprehensive and requires the ability to apply what you know in real life scenarios. I would absolutely recommend and especially advise taking the practice exams that he has developed. Study hard and you will pass for sure. Good luck MTs!Some sections have almost a thousand test questions, however many of them are repeated and phrased differently, that way you know the concept no matter who its written. Someone said they didn't pass theirs and that none of David's questions are on the test - thats correct. None of Davids questions are on the test because that would be illegal.https://www.fixemer.com/images/casio-casiotone-ct-370-manual.pdf Theres no way for him to know the actual test questions, he can only know the general material that the test covers.
