Sobre o evento

The iTechStyle Summit 2018 - 2nd International Conference of Textile and Clothing, organized by CITEVE – Technological Centre for the Textile and Clothing Industry of Portugal in collaboration with Associação Selectiva Moda and scientific coordination of University of Minho - Centre for Textile Science and Technology, is expected to bring together industry innovators, technology providers, researchers, clusters and other actors from the textile and clothing sector from across Europe. An event full of opportunities to explore, learn, share, and of course network.

The iTechStyle Summit aims to provide a platform to globalize the research by installing a dialogue between industries and academic organizations.

Addressed by leading voices from the industry and academy who will give their expert insights on the latest trends, strategies, opportunities and challenges, the conference will embrace the areas of industry 4.0, digitization and dematerialization of textile and clothing prototypes, new advanced fibres and materials, new technical and smart structures, and sustainability and circular economy.

 

LANGUAGE: the conference´s official languages are portuguese and english. There will be translation facilities available for the conference participants.

Graduated in textile by ENSAIT and in business by Stanford Business School, Jacques-Hervé Lévy oversaw the marketing and commercial strategy of large structures in chemical and biochemical and textile industry as well as food ingredient industry. He built his career internationally in Netherlands, Belgium, United States of American before to come back in France. After years managing ENSAIT (French Textile Engineer Institute), Jacques-Hervé Lévy moved to Lyon where he became head of IFTH (French Institute of Clothing and Textile), technology center dedicated to industry, which allows him to gain experience in setting up collaborative projects.

Braz Costa was born in Portugal in 1962. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minho in 1989. Since January 2000, he works as General Manager at CITEVE – Portuguese Technological Centre for Textile and Clothing Industries. CITEVE is a European reference institute that provides technological support and services to companies acting in the textile and clothing business. Product design and development, prototyping, testing and applied R&D oriented to innovative applications are included in its service portfolio that also includes consultancy, training and fashion intelligence. Since April 2012, is the CEO at CeNTI – Centre of Nanotechnology and Smart Materials. CeNTI is a research institute specialized in nanotechnology, functional materials, smart materials, printed electronics and additive technologies applied to several sectors, mainly developing solutions for Automotive & Aeronautics, Architecture & Construction and Health, Security & Wellbeing. At international level, he is - President of Textranet, the European Network of Textile Research Organizations, - Vice President of Textile ETP, European Technological Platform for the future of Textiles and Clothing.

François BOUSSU is professor at the Textile Engineering School (master 2) ENSAIT. He received the full professor accreditation in Mechanics of the Valenciennes University in 2014. He received a PhD in Automatic and Industrial Data Processing of the Lille University in 1998. He received in 1992 a Textile Engineer diploma from ENSAIT. His teaching activities are specialized in the weaving technology and especially in the design and manufacturing of 2D and 3D textile composite. Recent research developments: - The design of woven structures inside composites (2D and 3D weaving) - The application of the textile composite solution to low and high speed ballistic impacts Scientific results: Scientific direction of 13 Ph-D thesis and 68 final year projects (Master 2 students) 15 chapters of scientific books 34 scientific publications in international journal 151 oral communications in international congress

Innovation & Marketing Director
Born in 1964 in Guimarães, the cradle of the Portuguese nation, he holds a degree in Textile Engineering and a Master of Science in Marketing and Strategic Management. Currently he is the Innovation manager of ERT Têxtil Portugal, the nuclear company of ERT Group which owns businesses in different sectors such as automotive, textile, footwear, creative and technological services, and he is managing the Creative Innovation Centre of ERT Group, which is based at the creative HUB named Oliva Creative Factory. He is a member of the High Level Group of the Portuguese Textile Cluster and coordinator of the Special Interest Group of Mobility. Fernando Merino defends an approach of industrial innovation based on strategic marketing and strategic alliances, and networking with creative industries. His main research interests explore models that incorporate flexible electronics into flexible materials for the application of ICTs and Material Intelligence concerning Smart Comfort Systems and Smart Assisted Driving. Besides R&D on Smart Textiles and cooperation with designers, he also works on R&D under Bionic concepts and concepts of re-use of materials for the Circular Economy. This way of organizing and managing innovation was behind the recognition for ERT as the winner of the most prestigious innovation prize in Portugal in 2016, awarded by COTEC a Business Association for Innovation, and delivered by its honorary president, the President of the Portuguese Republic.

Christian Dalsgaard, CTO & founded Ohmatex. He has considerable expertise in the field of commercializing smart textile development. His knowledge of the field spans over a decade from the very early stages of smart textile R&D into the latest development for space applications. He has degrees in electrical engineering, physics and computer science from the Danish Engineering Academy and the University of Aarhus in Denmark.

José Silva holds a degree in Chemistry from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto, and since 2008 has worked as a researcher at CeNTI where he has developed R&D activities. Throughout his career, he has acquired skills in research, development and integration, through participation in different R&D projects (national and European) and conferences, accumulating experience and the necessary skills in the areas of processing, integration and characterization of conventional and printed electronic systems/sensors in various structures, using different types of substrates, in the field of synthesis of inorganic capsules and matrixes, for retention and release of active compounds, and in characterization techniques for organic and inorganic materials and structures. He currently performs functions related to the processing of organic and inorganic materials through roll-to-roll and sheet-to-sheet printing technologies and is also responsible for their morphological characterization.

Edouard Macquin, 52, Chief Sales Officer since 2011and a member of the Executive Committee since 2014. He is also in charge of professional services (training and consulting activities) since July 1st, 2016. Edouard Macquin joined Lectra’s R&D department in 1987. After that, he took on various positions in consulting, services, marketing and sales in Paris, Italy, the United States and Brazil. In 2000, he was appointed Director of Lectra Brazil and Director of South America. Edouard Macquin holds an MBA from São Paulo Business School (Brazil).
