I am a creative, innovative change manager and research scientist. My power is helping (public) organizations in the safety and security domain to enhance their performance by implementation of innovations and valorization of knowledge. I combine a coaching leadership style with a strongly developed intuitive decision making method. I use these qualities to improve the potential of my team members and together we work on a safer world. Within the TNO-organization I realized a new way in thinking of applied research in the field of end-users in public safety by combining traditional science and technology in daily practice. Now I use the lessons of that process to position IFV in the world of firefighters of tomorrow. My experiences are: Program management of strategic knowledge development for the operational work of first responders. Primary goal to contribute to more effective and safer operations in case of accidents and crises. I am working on the first responder of the future. Research in occupational health and safety of first responders Project management of research projects in the domain of first responders and protective clothing and equipment. Main focus to create project teams that are commited to the project goals Research and innovation in ergonomics of protective clothing and equipment, exercise and thermal physiology, human (physical) performance and occupational health and safety of first responders.
